NEW INFO ON MOSES ADDED I know we're not a large family, but we are spread out around the US - I thought we needed a place to celebrate our family, as well as present a history of it - I elected it to be here. | BUTLER AND BLOOMINGDALE, NEW JERSEY by Wanda Miller This is the towns that my family grew up around. Connected by more than just a Main Street, these two towns served as Hometown for the Miller, Roach, Rasp, and McKeever families. The McKeevers and Rasps both entered this country from Ellis Island. They met and married into the Roach and Miller families Leaving New York City, each family moved to New Jersey at some point in time. John and Florence Miller moved to Van Dam Avenue in Bloomingdale in 1921. Frank and Mary Roach went to live on Reeve Avenue, Bloomingdale. Their children all went to the same schools and knew one another. A nice small town affair between 2 adjacent towns. By the mid 1940's, Raymond Miller had married Lucea Roach and soon they would called Butler their home. |
